Join us for an opening week of fun activities and events. This year, LVC will celebrate Welcome Week from August 23–29, 2026.

Welcome Week 2026 Schedule
1 p.m. | Worship Service | Miller Chapel
2–3 p.m. | Faith Fair | Miller Chapel
Join local churches and other organizations for a small faith fair.
3 p.m. | Race to Break Stigma | Arnold Sports Center Lobby
Join the Hidden Opponent (THO) in a scavenger hunt around campus. Grab a team of 4-6 people and come compete!
7 p.m. | Welcome Back Social | Mund Patio (Rain Location: Leedy Theater)
Featuring live music by SM6 and Kona Italian Ice Food truck.

11 a.m.–12 p.m. | Open House | Counseling Services Building, 209 E Main St, Rear Entrance
Stop by the Counseling Services building. Meet the Counseling Services staff and check out the new building and learn more about upcoming events.
2–4 p.m. | Bishop Library Open House | Bishop Library
Come for the snacks, stay for what’s new! Explore our renovated second floor, meet our new librarian, discover the Library of Things, and try out our new overhead scanner. We can’t wait to welcome you!
2–5 p.m. | Step Into Service | Miller Chapel Lobby
Stop by the Chapel Lobby and connect with service director Brandy Leininger for an Open House to learn more about upcoming service opportunities, Alternative Break service trips, and the food pantry. Write a card saying “hi” for our friends at a local retirement community in honor of Intergeneration Month!

Join us as we kick off the weekly large-group sessions for our DiscipleMakers, a student group that aims to help people grow in their relationship with God. Meet some new friends and enjoy S’mores and lawn games. All are welcome!

11 a.m. | International Student Flag-raising Ceremony | Sheridan Avenue
Join us as we welcome the arrival of our international students and raise the flag from their perspective countries with this campus tradition.
11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. | Open House with Culture, Community, & Belonging and Affinity Clubs | Mund College Center
Stop by and meet CCB staff members and leaders of some of our affinity clubs on campus.
12–4 p.m. | Open House | Shroyer Health Services, 83 E. Sheridan Ave.
Stop by the Shroyer Health Services center and meet the Health Services staff. You can also learn more about upcoming events and services offered.

More than 65 LVC clubs and organizations will be represented and will showcase what they have to offer, along with local community partners and on-campus student employment opportunities. All students are encouraged to attend—no sign-up is required! Come find out what LVC has to offer and get involved!
